Some herbs wait for the lights to go out. Step into the Midnight Apothecary, where we’ll explore plants associated with sleep, relaxation, and dreams.
We’ll meet gentle bedtime favorites then wander a little deeper into the plants historically associated with dreaming.
Learn different ways herbs have found their way into nighttime routines through teas, baths, sachets, dream pillows, aromatics and simple rituals. We’ll explore why certain plants have reputations for quieting a busy mind, while others became known as dream herbs, and where practical herbalism and folklore begin to intertwine.
And because sleep is about more than finding the “right” herb, we’ll talk about creating your own nighttime rituals, keeping a dream journal and learning to notice which plants and practices genuinely suit you.
We’re turning down the lights and opening the apothecary to the dark. Come away witha packet of easy ideas you can take home. No previous herbal experience necessary.

The Serpent's Key is Wheelchair Accessible, has an accessible restroom, ample seating areas, is service animal friendly, and features sensory lighting for those with photophobia or other light sensory concerns. Incense is used on occasion, but we're happy to hold off if you call ahead!
